What is Planet Glitch?

Planet Glitch is an original short-form animated series exploring hypothetical sci-fi scenarios. Each episode tackles a distinct "what-if" question about technology, nature, and the future.

We kicked off the series with Episode 1: "The Primate Leap." In this debut chapter, we ask: What if primates unlocked advanced cognitive intellect, built tools, and ultimately inherited the Earth after human extinction?

Creating a stylized 3D realistic series requires combining traditional narrative design with cutting-edge generative tools. Our production pipeline for Planet Glitch relies on five main stages:

  1. Scripting & Lore: Handwritten story outlines establishing the tone, scientific premise, and pacing.

  2. Prompt Engineering: Utilizing Claude to translate manual scripts into technical visual prompts for scene generation.

  3. Video Generation: Rendering raw scene sequences using Kling AI.

  4. Voiceover & Audio: Generating crisp, dramatic narration via ElevenLabs, paired with original soundscapes.

  5. Post-Production & Editing: Assembling, trimming, and color-grading all scenes using Shotcut, an open-source video editor.

The Realities of AI Video Production

AI Video Generation Process Breakdown

A common misconception is that AI video generation is instant. During the development of Episode 1, achieving scene consistency with minimal visual glitches required dozens of re-renders per scene.

Because high-fidelity 3D motion demands strict prompt control, optimizing camera angles and character stability consumed far more generation credits than initially planned. A single standard package was not enough, requiring additional credit top-ups to complete the 12-scene sequence without sacrificing visual quality.

Future Roadmap: What’s Next for Planet Glitch?

Episode 1 is just the beginning. We are actively working on Season 1, which will feature 7 to 10 standalone episodes. Each installment will dive into a new hypothetical scenario, from technological singularities to cosmic anomalies.
